Each fall, the Women of Veteran Affairs, Inc. (WOVA) proudly hosts its Annual Military Ball — one of the most anticipated events of the season. This elegant evening brings together veterans, community leaders, and supporters from across South Florida to celebrate service, honor sacrifice, and raise vital funds for WOVA’s year-round community outreach programs.
Held in the Fort Lauderdale area, Florida, the Military Ball serves as both a celebration and a fundraiser, supporting WOVA’s initiatives such as scholarship awards, veteran assistance services, and the Annual Toy & Bicycle Donation Program. Through the generosity of sponsors, donors, and guests, the event continues to empower WOVA to expand its impact and uplift veterans and their families throughout the community.

Each year, the Women of Veteran Affairs, Inc. (WOVA) proudly hosts its Annual Toy & Bicycle Donation Program, a community tradition dedicated to uplifting underserved children and their families during the holiday season.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, WOVA — a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — has donated more than 1,000 toys, bicycles, and gift cards to local families in need. Through the generosity of sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, this program continues to spread joy, hope, and encouragement to children who might otherwise go without holiday gifts.
More than just a seasonal initiative, the program reflects WOVA’s ongoing mission to support and strengthen families within the veteran and local communities.

The Women of Veteran Affairs, Inc. (WOVA) is dedicated to supporting education by providing scholarships, mentorship, and essential resources to students from low-income backgrounds. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future for all.
Through our partnerships with schools, colleges, and community organizations, WOVA works to ensure that every student — especially women veterans and their families — has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. To date, WOVA has awarded over $13,000 in educational scholarships to help recipients pursue higher education, career training, and professional growth.
Join us in our mission to make education accessible and attainable for all.
